In January 2006, the results were published of the first the Hera Group internal climate survey of August-September 2005. The survey provided the company with objective, controllable information on the basis of which it can construct its next improvement actions.
Of the 5,161 questionnaires handed out, 2,489 (48%) were filled out and returned. This proportion is very high, considering the fact that this was the group’s first internal climate survey. The returned questionnaires were processed in September and October. The results were submitted to the Executive Committee in November.
Analysis of the four studied areas led to observations that enabled us to select improvement actions. These actions shall take place in 2006.
The entire workforce was informed of the results of the survey and the resulting improvement actions via the house organ.
From the results of the survey, we calculate an ESI rating 50, i.e. 5.5 score (the Employee Satisfaction Index is made up of various elements relating to two areas of concern: staff satisfaction and motivation).
Although employees are clearly critical at times, they are fairly well pleased to work for Hera.

Please find below the survey results for the four areas studied and the improvement actions, to be periodically monitored (insofar as they are part of the Balanced Scorecard). Reporting will be included in the next Sustainability Report.
